How to choose your trip in South Korea?

Available time is the foundation of everything. For a coherent first discovery, our itineraries of 10 to 14 days combine Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan and a detour to Jeonju or Andong. If you wish to add Jeju Island and the Seoraksan massifs, our 15 to 20 days formats allow a more leisurely pace, with two or three nights at each stop and genuine hiking days or temple-stay experiences.

We advise against trips shorter than 10 days, which force you to rush through regions. The KTX connects major cities efficiently, but rural Jeolla and the east coast require slower travel, which must be factored into planning.

Different trip types

Our cultural trips prioritize Joseon palaces, Buddhist temples (Bulguksa, Haeinsa, Songgwangsa) and Confucian villages like Hahoe. Adventure formats include hiking in Seoraksan National Park, climbing Hallasan on Jeju and sections of the Olle Trail. For family departures, we balance short visits, workshops (kimchi cooking, calligraphy, hanbok) and seaside stays in Gangneung or on Jeju, prioritizing family-friendly accommodations.

What is the best season?

Two windows stand out. Spring, from mid-April to late May, offers cherry blossom blooms, temperatures of 15 to 22°C and often clear skies. Autumn, from mid-October to mid-November, brings red maples in national parks and remarkable light. Summer (July-August) combines monsoon, humid heat and typhoons on the south coast, which we avoid. Winter, dry and cold in Seoul, remains possible for lovers of snowy landscapes and ski resorts in Gangwon.
